When it comes to minced beef the possibilities and ways you can use it are unlimited. That’s why we make it every week for our meal prep because it’s perfect to add to your salad bowls, rice, roasted veggies or for those emergencies when kids are craving tacos.
- 1 lb lean beef mince (96/4%)
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup sugar-free tomato sauce (we use homemade)
- 1/2 cup water
- seasonings to taste – we used a mix of pink salt, black pepper, paprika, chili powder, dry parsley, dry oregano, and garlic powder.
Place a large deep skillet over medium heat. Add in olive oil and seasonings. Mix together and add in the beef. With a wooden spoon stir beef and seasonings until it has browned evenly, breaking it into crumbles.
When beef is all browned add in tomato sauce and water. Mix everything together and add additional seasonings if needed. Lower the heat to low, cover and simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Serve over salad, rice, mashed potatoes, pasta, zoodles, veggies, on its own with parmesan cheese or in tacos. The endless list of ways to enjoy minced beef!
